Bronies...bring it on!

I saw an image which was basically the opposite of this picture.
Despite what it may seem like, I have nothing against FiM. I've watched all the episodes and I like a good few of the characters and 4 of the toys.
What annoys me and wants me to shy away from the fandom is the hate towards G1 ponies. They're not fat, they're not ugly and without them, FiM wouldn't be here.
I simply don't get it! I hate it when fans ruin it for everyone else.

I used to collect the toys and I have to say G1 is still what I prefer. I just think they are a lot more charming ( and cute! ) To call the fat is kind of funny, but hey, I like 'em fat then. I didn't know that horses would be put in the weight categories. They're cartoons for crying out loud!

Either way I love the way you drew these. You did very well with both styles!

As a brony, I try not to hate on earlier generations, if only because my beloved G4 FiM wouldn't exist without them. I don't particularly care for G1's animation, but that's a matter of taste. They're more equine, yes, but I find them less expressive than G4.

I quite like this sketch, however. "Who's a silly pony? / You's a silly pony!"

The mlponies.com forums [link] and booru [link] are welcoming of G1 ponies, though the focus is still G4.
