Description

I said I probably wouldn'y ever draw MLP FiM style, but this called for it.
This little girly is based on a Tennessee Walking Horse and for those that have never seen a TWH, google it and youtube it. Now!

Name: Sky Walker
Descrip: Sky Walker was born into a showing family. Generation after generation of prize winners. Sky never understood why she had to go through the pain she faced every single day, but she put up with it and tried her best. "Can't have beauty, without pain!" or "Pain before gain!" her parents would say, but she knew they hurt as much as she did.
The chains and pads hurt her hooves. Though, they could hardly be called 'pads'. They were solid and filled with nails that dug into her. Apparently her high stepping action was beautiful, but she saw all the other horses and was jealous of how they walked. It looked so painless and pretty.
Sky was meant to be a Pegasus, but this bloodline hadn't flown for years, they probably didn't even remember how.

Its a good message and I agree with you on the abuse to Tennessee Walkers, but please know that not EVERYONE in the Tennessee Walker world take part in soring and such things. I own multiple Tennessee Walkers and am a member of the registry, which greatly disapproves of soring and other nasty things people do to get Walkers to give just that much more. Most shows have banned it, and have Veterinarians going through to check all horses to make sure they are treated right.

Pads if done right, do not hurt the horse. Of course there are people out there that don't care and do such painful things such as chain soring, chemical burning, and pads.....but please remember that not everyone is at fault.

I've seen many shows, and its awesome to see the "humanely" geared Walkers strutting their stuff in the ring. Their heads bob with flopping ears and lips to the beat, and I know some horses that absolutely LOVE it. :) The harder the crowd yells and cheers, the more they enjoy it.

Its a cute character and Its nice to know that there are more people out there standing up to Walker cruelty.....but more often than not it goes to the point that innocent Walker owners are blamed for something that only SOME people do.
